Wake-up

Following on from the successful rebrand, Dawn were tasked with creating a new website for Tracks and Layers that would bring their motion-first identity to life. The site needed to do more than just showcase their work. It had to move, flex, and emote in the same way their animations do, capturing the fun, emotion, and adaptability that define the studio.

Before designing, we mapped out how the new brand system and mascot, Moti, could translate into a digital experience. Our goal was to make every interaction, transition, and hover state feel intentional, echoing the energy and creativity of the Tracks and Layers team while giving their work the space to shine.

Rise

The result is a website that feels alive, where Moti responds playfully throughout the journey and the overall experience mirrors the creative process that defines Tracks and Layers.

From a technical perspective, we built a scalable, easy-to-manage platform that gives the team full control over content, portfolio updates, and future case studies. Optimised for performance and accessibility, the site delivers a fast, seamless experience across devices, ensuring their motion-led storytelling translates beautifully in every context.

Shine

Tracks and Layers now have a digital presence that truly reflects who they are, distinctive, expressive, and always in motion. The launch marks a major milestone in their 10-year journey, giving them a platform built to grow and evolve alongside their creativity. Owner and Creative Director Mike Pettyt added:

With the finished article now in are hands and about to launch it’s been great to look back at how everything has stemmed from the initial strategy session with David showing that the whole team really understood what we were aiming for and have managed to create an identity, guidelines, website and library of assets that we can all get behind as a team and use to great effect to portray our studio vision and values to the wider world.
